"Ow! Owowowowoww!" Risa whined, as Chi-Chi attempted to get Risa’s hair into slightly less of a tangle than it was before, and failing miserably. Risa stared in the mirror in shock. Goten giggled.
"Hey! My hair’s going *down*, it’s not sposed to do that!" She protested loudly as Chi-Chi pushed the both of them out the door.
"Hurry up, or you’ll be late…" Chi-Chi sighed, "As usual."
As soon as Chi-Chi leaved to go back inside, Risa’s hair sprung back into position. Goten blinked.
"See? I told your mum my hair doesn’t stay down."
"But it *moved*." Goten prodded her hair to make sure it wouldn’t bite his finger off.
"So? It’s allowed to if it wants to."
Goten shrugged, "Guess we’d better get going… KINTO’UN!!!"
Risa stared as a small fluffy yellow cloud came to a halt before them. "What’s that? Lunch?"
Goten laughed, "Nah-uh, it’s Kinto’un. We go to school on it. An’ anyway, you’ve already got your lunch. Okaasan put it in your bag."
Risa rumaged through her bag, pulled out her pencil case and tried chewing on it. "Yeuchth, tasthes ithy!"
Goten pulled out a capsule, "That’s a pencil case, this is lunch!"
Risa tried chewing on it, Goten sighed.
Kinto’un seemed to look at them impatiently. Goten pulled Risa up onto it.
"Wai! Wai! It’s soft! It’s soft!" Risa bounced up and down on it excitedly.
Goten ^^ed, and they flew off.

Goten turned to look back at Risa, "A-no, Risa?"
"Yeah?"
"What’s it like to have a tail?"
Risa hugged her tail, thinking about this, "Ummm…. I dunno. I’ve never not hadded one."
"Did everyone have one where you was?"
"Yup! ‘cept the Namekians, they could go all big without ‘em."
Goten looked at her, in a half concerned way, "Jya think those people what blowed up your planet will come here?"
"I hope not."
(Yosou: But in the efforts of making this fanfic more interesting, I’m sure they will.)
"A! That’s it!" Goten pointed down.
"What? Where?"
"School… down there."
"Ohhhh…. You mean that big house thing?"
"Yup, that’s school."
Kinto’un swirled downwards towards the ground.
* *
"Bai-Bai Kinto’un!" The fluffy yellow cloud zoomed off into the distance.
Risa stared at the huge building before her. "Waaah, su-goi!"
Welcome to Yellow Cresent Primary
They headed for the gates.
"Oh, yeah. Niichan said we’re not sposedta fly or throw fireballs and stuff. Everyone here thinks were humans."
"Ohhh. Why can’t humans fly?"
"Ummm…. I don’t think they know how to."
"Why not?"
"Cos no one taught ‘em."
Risa looked around herself dissapointedly. She was beginning to realise how boring this could be. Very Boring. She shrugged.
Goten waved to Trunks and went running up to him. "Hiya Trunks!"
"Awww, you mean he goes to school too?" Risa and Trunks glared at each other.
Goten blinked, wondering what was going on, "Trunks?"
"Yeah?"
"Um… Risa said that those people that bashed up her family might becoming here…so…"
Trunks brightened, "Hope that means we can get off school!"
Risa shook her head, "They probly won’t. It’s been um… two years, so I don’t think they’re gonna come any time soon. Anyway, they don’t know I’m here, or that I gotted away." Risa sniffled, remembering her family. "Anyway, they were *really* strong. They beatted my ‘Tousan."
"Heheh, but your family couldn’t even go Super Saiyajin. We could beat ‘em easy."
Risa shrugged, not wanting to talk because her voice had gone croaky.
The siren wailed out through the school yard.
Risa jumped, "They’re here?!"
"What’s here?"
Risa blinked, "We had a siren like that to tell us when something was gonna land on Najiku-sei. What’s that one for? Has something bad happened?"
Goten nodded, "Yup, very bad… We gotta go to class."
* * *
Risa stared around the rappidly filling classroom. Trunks, being a year older, had left for a different part of the school. Risa had been kind of relieved at that.
"What’r you star’n at?" Yelled one of the tougher-looking, and stupider kids.
Risa stuck her tongue out at him. "Nyaaa!"
Goten waggled his finger in a Chi-Chi like manner, then copied his mother’s voice, "No Killing The Other Students. Not Even After School Hours."
"Awww… huh." Risa glared at her desk. (Goten later swore that it had started smoking)
The bully gave her a strange look, then his subconscious instincts got the better of him. He crept away, nervously.
"Who was that ‘nyway?"
"I dunno. Some new kid."
Risa shrugged, pulling out her books, "Whateva. Whatta we do now?"
"Wait for th’ teacher."
"Oh. Right." Risa chewed on her pencil, "When’s lunchtime? I’m hungry."
"Longlonglonglonglonglong time away," Goten moaned, clutching his stomach too.
"Class stand!"
Risa blinked as everyone around her stood up, "W’as going on?"
Goten grabbed her arm yanking her to her feet, "Teacher’s here."
"Thankyou, sit down."
"??????" Said Risa, "Why’d we have to stand up if we were going to sit down again?"
"Cos."
"Cos what?"
Goten shrugged, "Its one of those teacher things."
"Never had to do that at home."
"We have a new student this year, "Risa, will you please come up?"
Risa gave Goten a shy glance, "Ok." She walked up to the teacher and waved.
"Risa, will you please tell the class a little about yourself?"
Risa blinked, "Um… Hi I’m Risa?"
Teacher smiled at her, "How about… where are you from?"
"The Sky!" Risa caught Goten’s glance, "Um… Sky City?"
The teacher gave her a strange look, "…I’m sorry, where is that?"
"Another planet," she said quickly.
"…" The teacher gave up, "And what do your parents do for a living?"
"They’re dead." Risa said almost proudly, "I dunno what they do these days."
There was a chorus of symathetic ‘awww’s from the class.
The teacher frowned and scratched her head. Something told her she wouldn’t be getting much out of this kid. "Alright, you may sit down."
Risa went back to sit down next to Goten again, "Why’d they wanna know all that stuff?"
"I dunno. Teachers are nosy."
"Speshally this one. She’s got a big nose."
"Risa! I heard that! Meet me after school!" The teacher yelled out across the classroom.
