This section used to be 'Other candidates' but rather than just writing down my opinions about possible pairings here's a more comprehensive look at Goten's girlfriends and the characters Goten's usually paired up with.
It's question mark girl! Goten had a girlfriend when he was seventeen. We know this because of one small mention where Goten says "I had promised to go on a date tomorrow" as his excuse for why he didn't want to go to the tourament. Well, as nothing else is ever mentioned about her, let's move on...
Paresu/Vales. I can't remember her age ever being given so I'm not sure what the age gap is. She's a country girl who must have live one hell of a sheltered life not to know how to eat icecream... Anyway, she's the reason Goten doesn't get on the ship with Trunks and Goku, and does very little other than follow the 'damsel in distress' role.
And now on to the possible matches. First up, Marron. She's five years younger than Goten, so the age gap's bareable. As Klilyn and 18's daughter I imagine they'd have met a few times as kids, but I can't remember them so much as talking in the anime.
Bra is about 14 years younger than Goten. I just can't see them getting over that kind of age gap. Plus there's all sorts of complications, would Trunks want his best friend going out with his little sister? Would Vegeta put up with it? Hell no. And would Goten want to go out with a little girl? Doubt it.
Trunks. Erk, it must be said. There's a number of people who pair them up, because they're best friends. All I can say is, Goten's not gay. Trunks may be questionable for the simple fact that he never shows any interest in girls, but Goten runs around getting girlfriends.
Here's an interesting one; Gotenks and Marron. Marron is paired up with both Trunks and Goten a lot, so for those who simply can't decide who she should be with, there's Gotenks. The age difference is in theory, 5 1/2 years. I could only see this working if Goten and Trunks were perminanty fused with potara (Trunten?). I mean, would you want to share your girlfriend/boyfried with your best friend? Well, they're a cute couple anyway.
